About Me

Hi, I’m Andrea—a licensed mental health counselor, founder of Halcyon Counseling & Consultation, LLC, devoted dog mom to four Frenchies, and parent to two boys.

Therapy works best when you can show up exactly as you are—no pretense required. Coffee in hand, no makeup, no filter. In your car, on your couch, or wherever you are in the world. You don’t need to mask, perform, or have it all figured out with me. We’re all imperfect humans doing our best to navigate life’s challenges.I bring firsthand experience from my own mental health journey. My lived experiences with anxiety, trauma, estrangement, and disenfranchised grief have shaped who I am as a clinician and allow me to meet clients with empathy, humility, and a deep respect for how personal and complex healing can be. I also know—having sat in the other chair—that therapy can be truly life-changing.

I believe wholeheartedly that mental health is just as important as physical health, and I actively promote that belief in my home, my practice, and my everyday life. It is a true privilege to be invited into my clients’ inner worlds, and I take that responsibility seriously.

And one last thing—you may hear my Frenchies snoring in the background during sessions. I hope you don’t mind!

When I’m not meeting with clients, you can find me reading, lifting weights, spending time with my family, spoiling my energetic pack of French bulldogs (and one adorable but very rambunctious Frenchie-Aussie rescue), or running through Dunkin’ multiple times a day. I also love the beach, taking photographs, exploring new cities, watching cooking shows, binging true crime, and hunting for good deals on Amazon.

What my clients are saying

“Andrea is everything I didn’t know I needed in a therapist—challenging, empowering, & warm.

She helped me face things I’d avoided for years, but always in a way that felt safe and supported. I’ve grown more in the last six months than I thought was possible."

"From day one, Andrea created a space where I felt comfortable being my full self.

She balances compassion with just the right amount of accountability, and her insights have helped me navigate some of the hardest times in my life with more confidence and clarity."

“Working with Andrea has been a life-changing experience.

She truly listens, and she has this way of helping you feel seen without judgment. I always leave our sessions feeling more grounded, more hopeful, and more capable of facing what’s ahead."

“Better Than I Ever Expected

To preface this, I've been seeing Andrea for over a year now, I don't leave reviews unless I'm sure. Therapy had been something I was seeking for years to help me address issues I was facing and wanting to improve myself. The thing that held me back was worrying about finding a therapist that was the right fit for me. I finally took the leap and happened to find Andrea by chance. From my first session any concerns I had went out the window. I felt heard and supported and comfortable discussing anything that was going on in my life. She has become a confidant who's feedback I respect. Whether it be my own thoughts or difficulties life throws my way, Andrea has helped guide me through many situations by not only acting as a sounding board for my concerns but also providing insight and feedback for things I can do to make the changes I want to see in my life. Life can be difficult, life can be hard, and it's times like that I'm grateful to have someone like Andrea to turn to for help.”
