About Me
Hi, I’m Andrea—a licensed mental health counselor, founder of Halcyon Counseling & Consultation, LLC, proud mama, and devoted dog mom to four pups.
I believe therapy works best when you can show up as your real, imperfect self. No pretending, performing, or having it all figured out.
My own experiences with anxiety, trauma, estrangement, and disenfranchised grief have shaped me both personally and professionally. Having also sat in the other chair, I understand how vulnerable it can be to ask for help—and how meaningful therapy can be.
I also don’t believe in toxic positivity or simply telling you to “look on the bright side.” And I’m not a passive listener who sits quietly while you do all the talking. I’m engaged, curious, and honest. I’ll listen, ask questions, challenge you when needed, and work alongside you to help you understand yourself, navigate what’s happening, and make meaningful changes.
I believe mental health deserves the same care as physical health, and it’s a privilege to be invited into my clients’ lives.
And yes—you may occasionally hear a Frenchie snoring in the background. I hope you don’t mind!
When I’m not meeting with clients, you can find me reading, lifting weights, spending time with my family, spoiling my energetic pack of pups (4 to be exact), or running through Dunkin’ multiple times a day. I also love the beach, taking photographs, exploring new cities, watching cooking shows, binging true crime, and hunting for good deals on Amazon.
